In the spirit of the upcoming reunion, I thought I’d pass along some Turley family photos from my dad’s files.  The black and white picture is just before my dad went on his mission in 1962.  The color pictures are from a family reunion in 1982 (based on the ages of me, Chad, Alisa, and Ryan).  Challenge to the younger grandkids and/or great-grandkids - can you name everyone in these pictures?  ;)

The Turley Reunion is this year!  On Saturday, July 5th, at the same park.  :0)

Douglas’ family usually arrives around 10 or 11 AM.  Lunch is around 12-1 PM.  Assignments will be made and you should be contacted so that you know what to bring for lunch.

Show up when you can and be prepared to see your relatives and have fun!

A note about this site:  The settings were wrong, so if you have tried to post lately, it would not let you.  This has been corrected and please feel free to post at will.  Apologies and thanks for understanding.

Hey Family,

Sorry about that, the web hosting provider that I decided to try last month really bombed… dreamhost actually became nightmare host and I decided to dump them and move the services elsewhere.

I didn’t do a very good job of backing up the entire database either, I saved the content and posts, but didn’t get the users, so everybody needs to register again and fill out their profile again… more apologies.

For you guys listed below, your account was re-created since you had posted, but it didn’t save any profile information. I have set you password to be [my mom's first name, all lower case], please login and fix your profile. Everyone else needs to re-register like they did the first time.

Well our life is busy right now.  First off we just had our third child.  Kaden Leslie Hill was born on 03/17/08  @  03:17pm.  He was  8lbs 8oz and 19.5″ long.  That makes three boys for us.  Dustin will be 2yrs on 05/12 and Jeff will be 4yrs on 06/30.  They are sure growing fast.

I just started a new job, I left the corrections side of law enforcement and am now working for Brigham City PD on patrol.  I enjoy it more than working in the jail.

I will try to upload some pictures I hope it works.

Hey Everyone!  Scott and I are currently in Omaha, Nebraska (yes…Omaha).  Scott is in his first year of his three-year Pediatrics residency.  I’m staying at home with Chris (age 3) and Sarah (age 1).  Check out our family website at www.scottandmaryann.blogspot.com for recent pictures and information about us (or you can just click on the link at the right on the turleytalk.org homepage).

Also, since I’ve been on a big family history kick lately, I thought I’d pass along a few good websites to look at for information and photographs of our ancestors (in addition to the missionary journal of Theodore Turley that Alexis found):

Theodore Turley Family Organization (www.turleyfamily.org)

Turley-Eyring Family Website (http://www.turley-eyring.org/index.php) - has good pictures and info for Isaac Turley (http://www.turley-eyring.org/IsaacTurley1837-1908.php) and Theodore Turley (http://www.turley-eyring.org/TheodoreTurley1801-1871.php).  Also check out Richard E. Turley’s work-in-progress official biography of Theodore Turley (http://www.turley-eyring.org/documents/TheodoreTurleyBiography/TurleyTheodore1801-1871.History.htm).

Sharing Our Links to the Past (http://www.geocities.com/~wallyg/turleyfam.htm) - Make sure you bookmark Grandpa Turley’s autobiography as quoted from the The Theodore Turley Family Book:

 http://www.geocities.com/~wallyg/L84marion_turley.htm

Richard O. Lee’s family webpage about Hyrum and Pearl Turley and their kids, which included our grandfather, Marion Turley is at:

Not to leave Grandma Turley out of this, there’s a great website all about Ezra T. Clark and his descendants (http://www.ezratclark.org/).  June was a great-granddaughter of Ezra T. Clark.

Enjoy! - Mary Ann

We are still in Grand Junction, CO. Jeff is working at Tripnozzi Muscle Cars. He is enjoying it there. He was recently released as Ward Mission Leader and called to work in the Primary as one of the teachers for the boy’s class.

Colton is 10 and in the 4th grade. He is enjoying school and is getting into the art of Oragami. He is a great inventor and loves to make up new games for him to play with his siblings.

Justin is 9 and in the 3rd grade. He always has a little car (hotwheels/matchbox) with him. He will entertain himself for hours playing little cars.

Melody will be 8 on the 22nd of this month. She is in 2nd grade and is a very good student. She works really hard to learn everything that she can. She is excited to be baptized on the 12th of April. You are all invited to attend if you wish. :0)

I have been keeping busy volunteering at the school. I am also in the YW presidency and that keeps me really busy also. I have also been maintaining a blog. It is more of a blog about what I have been doing rather than just a family blog. I post all sorts of stuff on there. Mostly my crafts. There are some family posts on there too. You can check it out at http://urgentcookie.blogspot.com.

I’m so glad we are giving this a shot again.  I didn’t know we had one of these going for the family.  Rakel just recently got into doing blogs so I’m sure we’ll be more involved with this.  Instead of going through the rundown of what we’ve been doing (cuz it’s a lot) I’ll just give you our blog address so you can check it out.  So go check out the pictures of our new baby girl that was born 5 days ago. http://toddandrakelgardner.blogspot.com
